Women and young people are even more vulnerable. Without savings they are especially at risk if they become unable to work or can’t save for retirement.

Initiatives like OWN aim to address imbalances in wealth, particularly those affecting women. OWN will support reaching the majority of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, by helping people to overcome obstacles toward achieving financial independence. That includes even those less-privileged  for whom an opportunity to build savings would offer a better, fairer way to live.”
